What is Palanhar Yojana?

A Rajasthan government scheme providing financial assistance to families caring for orphaned and underprivileged children instead of institutionalizing them.

Who Can Benefit?

Children eligible for the scheme: - Orphans - Children of imprisoned parents - Children of widowed, divorced, or abandoned mothers - Kids of parents affected by HIV/AIDS or leprosy

Financial Assistance Provided

Monthly aid: - ₹500 for 0-6 years (Anganwadi required) - ₹1000 for 6-18 years (School enrollment required) ₹2000 annually for clothes & essentials

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the scheme: - Child’s age must be under 18 years - Guardian’s annual income ≤ ₹1.20 lakh - Must be a Rajasthan resident for 3+ years

Documents Required

Essential Documents: - Death certificate of parents (if orphan) - Court order for imprisoned parents - Widow pension order, disability certificate, school enrollment proof
